Please read this information before creating your account.
WINK is an experimental AI-powered student success platform being evaluated as part of a research project. Access is provided free of charge during the Fall 2026 pilot period, currently scheduled from August 18, 2026 through December 20, 2026.
WINK is an assistance tool. Students remain responsible for their academic work, decisions, deadlines, registrations, submissions, attendance, and compliance with course and university requirements. Important information should be verified using official course or university sources.
AI systems can make mistakes. WINK responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or based on an incorrect interpretation of uploaded materials.
Information is used operationally to provide WINK itself — to authenticate your account, answer your questions, process uploaded materials, track deadlines, and calculate your progress. WINK also relies on third-party technology providers (including artificial intelligence, hosting, storage, and email services) to operate, so some information is processed by those providers as part of delivering WINK's functionality.
Separately from that operational use, your interactions with WINK — including questions and AI-generated responses — may be recorded and analyzed for research purposes. Access to research data is limited to Dr. Laura Trevino and the small number of research team members who need it to conduct the study, and it is kept on secured, access-controlled systems. Data will be anonymized before being used in research publications or presentations, and reporting will not intentionally identify individual students.
Upload only materials you are authorized to provide. Do not upload passwords, Social Security numbers, financial account information, medical records, or other highly sensitive information that is unnecessary for WINK's academic functions.
You are responsible for following your institution's and instructors' academic-integrity requirements. WINK should not be used for cheating, plagiarism, unauthorized collaboration, or other prohibited conduct.
By continuing, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these terms and the WINK privacy disclosures and agree to the collection and use of information described above.
