These Terms of Use govern access to and use of My WINK. By creating an account, accessing My WINK, or using its services, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
My WINK is a free, AI-powered academic support platform, currently in Beta. The Beta runs from October 1, 2026 through December 31, 2026. During the Beta it is provided free of charge, features may be added, changed, or removed, and the service may occasionally be unavailable.
My WINK is independently developed and operated by Dr. Laura L. Trevino and is not a service of any university. As administrator, Dr. Trevino can view information entered into or generated through WINK, including uploads, questions, AI responses, deadlines, practice activity, and grade-calculator information, for any account.
Using My WINK is optional. Using it, not using it, or deleting your account has no effect on your grades or your standing in any course.
Your activity in My WINK, including questions, AI responses, uploaded materials, and how you use each feature, is collected to operate WINK, to improve it, and to demonstrate how it is used. Anything shared outside WINK is combined or de-identified so no individual student can be identified. See the Privacy Policy for full details.
As a Beta user, you agree to help improve My WINK by providing feedback. You will rate WINK's answers in the chat using the thumbs up and thumbs down buttons, and you will report any problems with the program, such as errors, incorrect information, or features that do not work, by emailing lhall@elp.rr.com.
You agree not to misuse My WINK, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, introduce malicious software, impersonate another person, or use the service for unlawful purposes.
You remain responsible for your own academic work, decisions, deadlines, registrations, submissions, attendance, and compliance with course and university requirements. Verify important information through official sources.
AI can make mistakes. WINK may provide information that is inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or based on an incorrect reading of uploaded materials.
You are responsible for following the academic integrity rules of your institution and each course, including any rules about using AI. Do not use My WINK for cheating, plagiarism, unauthorized collaboration, or other prohibited conduct.
You are responsible for the materials you upload and must have the right to share them. By uploading content, you allow My WINK to store and process it to provide and improve the service, as described in the Privacy Policy.
My WINK is provided as a Beta service, as is. Continuous or uninterrupted access is not guaranteed, and the Beta may be changed or ended at any time.
Using My WINK does not guarantee improved grades, academic performance, course completion, retention, graduation, or any other outcome.
Do not rely on My WINK for emergency, medical, mental health, legal, financial, or other professional advice. In a crisis, contact your campus counseling center or call or text 988.
Keep your sign-in details confidential. You are responsible for activity on your account.
Access may be limited, suspended, or ended when necessary to protect users, keep the system secure, enforce these Terms, or comply with legal requirements.
These Terms may be updated as My WINK develops. If they change in an important way, you will be asked to review and accept the new version the next time you sign in.
My WINK, WINK, and the WINK character are the property of Dr. Laura L. Trevino and may not be used without permission.
By creating an account or continuing to use My WINK, you confirm that you have read and understood these Terms and the Privacy Policy and agree to them.
